Announcing ‘Neighborly’

Announcing ‘Neighborly’

I'm excited to announce that I've been working on my second book, called Neighborly. This one is a world apart from my first book. It's a character-driven story about two families that live next door to each other, but can't stand each other.

I'm injecting as much crazy humor as I can, with the goal of creating a wonderfully wacky tale that will have you rooting for one family one minute, and the other the next. With short, fast-paced chapters, you'll get to know each member of both the Frump and Wellington families as the narration shifts to their perspectives.

A quick update on Neighborly!

As of January 12, I have passed the halfway point of the book. I did set it aside off and on to work on yet another book which I'll announce later, but I'm moving along with Neighborly, knocking out around 1,000 - 2,000 words a day. I'm loving the natural progression of the story, only planning out 2 - 3 chapters ahead of where I'm at. (Though, I might be at a point where I could safely outline the rest of the book.)

At this rate, I could hit my target goal of the end of January, but most likely could go a bit into February. Getting excited to finish this one!

Update #2

1:20 AM on January 28... feeling good, with 43,000+ words and counting. At this rate, I will probably write the ending next week some time! I have a general outline drafted that will take me right to the end, with a total of 52 chapters! Writing #44 now. Very excited about how this story has taken shape, and how the characters have evolved! Not planning to go the traditional editing route, simply using beta readers to help me refine any issues they see. Preparing for a late Feb. release on Amazon!

Update #3

I should probably mention that I finished the book on schedule (February 3rd, I believe). After a few weeks of prepping the layout and cover design, Neighborly is now available to order on Amazon! Check out the official Neighborly page for the links.
